Component price score
is a percentage ratio of the price of the most expensive component to the price of the product
A component price score of 20 means that if a product costs 100 eur, the most expensive component costs 20 eur. A repairably score of 5 means that if a product costs 100 eur, the most expensive component costs 5 eur. Obviously the smaller the score is, the cheaper it is to repair the product, as the replacement costs of a broken component are smaller.
Repairably Manifesto requires that a product needs to achieve component price score score of 20 or less to be eligible for the Repairably certification.
